Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg October 5 - 9, 2022 Magdeburg, Germany A festival of international understanding Following the huge success of the European Choir Games and Grand Prix of Nations in 2015, Magdeburg – home city of Baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann – will once again become a welcoming host for a dynamic and inspiring festival of choral music. The Chorfest Magdeburg, which has been successfully organized by the Choir Association Saxony-Anhalt for years, will be enriched with an international choir competition by INTERKULTUR to create an eventful international festival to connect local choirs with singers from all over the world. Competitions in different levels of difficulty, categories and settings as well as Friendship Concerts, possibilities for singing together and personal education leave nothing to be desired by the participating choirs. A variety of concert activities by the local choirs will make a valuable contribution to these opportunities. The “Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg” provides a platform for an active exchange of national and international choral music, new friendships and unique intercultural encounters.

The Chorfest Magdeburg, which has been successfully organized by the Choir Association Saxony-Anhalt for years, will be enriched with an international choir competition by INTERKULTUR to create an eventful international festival to connect local choirs with singers from all over the world.

Der Chor „Wir sind aus der Ukraine“ ist keine professionelle Gruppe. Der Chor wurde auf<br />

Initiative von „Harmonia e.V.“ gegründet und besteht zurzeit aus der 20 geflüchteten Frauen<br />

aus der Ukraine, die sehr gerne ukrainische Volkslieder singen. Auf dem <strong>Program</strong>m stehen<br />

die Volkslieder über die Liebe zur Mutter, zum Nächsten und vor allem über die Liebe zur geliebten<br />

Heimat - Ukraine. Der Chor hat für kurze Zeit mehrere Auftritte in <strong>Magdeburg</strong> durchgeführt,<br />

die großen Erfolg hatten. Die Chorleitung hat Oksana Khoruzha inne.<br />

The choir “We are from Ukraine” is not a professional group. The choir was founded on the initiative<br />

of “Harmonia e.V.“ and currently consists of 20 refugee women from the Ukraine, who<br />

love to sing Ukrainian folk songs. The program includes folk songs about the love towards<br />

mothers, neighbors and especially about feeling love for the beloved homeland - Ukraine.<br />

The choir has quickly manifested and has presented itself during several successful performances<br />

in <strong>Magdeburg</strong> within a short time period. The choir is directed by Oksana Khoruzha.
