Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg October 5 - 9, 2022 Magdeburg, Germany A festival of international understanding Following the huge success of the European Choir Games and Grand Prix of Nations in 2015, Magdeburg – home city of Baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann – will once again become a welcoming host for a dynamic and inspiring festival of choral music. The Chorfest Magdeburg, which has been successfully organized by the Choir Association Saxony-Anhalt for years, will be enriched with an international choir competition by INTERKULTUR to create an eventful international festival to connect local choirs with singers from all over the world. Competitions in different levels of difficulty, categories and settings as well as Friendship Concerts, possibilities for singing together and personal education leave nothing to be desired by the participating choirs. A variety of concert activities by the local choirs will make a valuable contribution to these opportunities. The “Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg” provides a platform for an active exchange of national and international choral music, new friendships and unique intercultural encounters.

Das Theater <strong>Magdeburg</strong> agiert als städtisches<br />
Vierspartentheater in zwei Spielstätten: Das<br />
<strong>Magdeburg</strong>er Opernhaus wurde 1906/07 als<br />
„Centraltheater“ erbaut und etablierte sich<br />
als privat geführte Varieté- und Operettenbühne.<br />
Heute strahlt es mit einer Veranstaltungsvielfalt<br />
im Opernhaus am Universitätsplatz<br />
- mit hochkarätigen Opern, Operetten,<br />
Musicals, Sinfoniekonzerten sowie Ballett.<br />
Das Schauspielhaus am Friedensplatz bietet<br />
klassische und zeitgenössische Dramatik und<br />
Komödien sowie zahlreiche Sonderformate.<br />
Im Sommer veranstaltet das Theater <strong>Magdeburg</strong><br />
auf dem Domplatz große, überregional<br />
beachtete Musical-Open-Air-Aufführungen.<br />
The Theater <strong>Magdeburg</strong> operates as a municipal<br />
four-section theater in two venues: The<br />
<strong>Magdeburg</strong> Opera House was built in 1906/07<br />
as the "Centraltheater" and established itself<br />

Today, it shines with a variety of events in the<br />
Opera House at the Universitätsplatz - with<br />
top-class operas, operettas, musicals, symphony<br />
concerts as well as ballets. The Schauspielhaus<br />

well as numerous special formats. In summer,<br />
the Theater <strong>Magdeburg</strong> stages largescale,<br />
nationally acclaimed open-air musical<br />
performances on the Domplatz.
