Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg October 5 - 9, 2022 Magdeburg, Germany A festival of international understanding Following the huge success of the European Choir Games and Grand Prix of Nations in 2015, Magdeburg – home city of Baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann – will once again become a welcoming host for a dynamic and inspiring festival of choral music. The Chorfest Magdeburg, which has been successfully organized by the Choir Association Saxony-Anhalt for years, will be enriched with an international choir competition by INTERKULTUR to create an eventful international festival to connect local choirs with singers from all over the world. Competitions in different levels of difficulty, categories and settings as well as Friendship Concerts, possibilities for singing together and personal education leave nothing to be desired by the participating choirs. A variety of concert activities by the local choirs will make a valuable contribution to these opportunities. The “Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg” provides a platform for an active exchange of national and international choral music, new friendships and unique intercultural encounters.

der Komposition bereits im September<br />
2021 getroffen, wie war die Zusammenarbeit?<br />
Die Zusammenarbeit war eine keine Wünsche<br />
offenlassende, sehr erfreuliche Erfahrung.<br />
Zum einen habe ich die Poetik<br />
und den Bilderreichtum der verwendeten<br />
Naderschen Gedichte sogleich als Äquivalent<br />
meiner musikalischen Sprache empfunden.<br />
Zum anderen war ich dankbar,<br />
dass Dr. Nader mir neben seiner Zuarbeit<br />
durch Senden neuer Texte ganz und gar<br />
freie Hand gelassen hat in der auch Umformulierungen<br />
einschließenden dramaturgischen<br />
Gestaltung seiner Texte.<br />
Wahid Nader has lived in <strong>Magdeburg</strong> for<br />
decades - you met on the occasion of the<br />
composition already in September 2021,<br />
how was the collaboration?<br />
The collaboration was a very gratifying experience<br />
that left nothing to be desired. On<br />
the one hand, I immediately felt the poetics<br />
and the richness of imagery of Nader's<br />
poems to be the equivalent of my musical<br />
language. On the other hand, I was grateful<br />
that Dr. Nader, in addition to his collaboration<br />
by sending new texts, gave me a<br />
completely free hand in the dramaturgical<br />
shaping of his texts, which also included<br />
reformulations.
