Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg October 5 - 9, 2022 Magdeburg, Germany A festival of international understanding Following the huge success of the European Choir Games and Grand Prix of Nations in 2015, Magdeburg – home city of Baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann – will once again become a welcoming host for a dynamic and inspiring festival of choral music. The Chorfest Magdeburg, which has been successfully organized by the Choir Association Saxony-Anhalt for years, will be enriched with an international choir competition by INTERKULTUR to create an eventful international festival to connect local choirs with singers from all over the world. Competitions in different levels of difficulty, categories and settings as well as Friendship Concerts, possibilities for singing together and personal education leave nothing to be desired by the participating choirs. A variety of concert activities by the local choirs will make a valuable contribution to these opportunities. The “Internationales Chorfest Magdeburg” provides a platform for an active exchange of national and international choral music, new friendships and unique intercultural encounters.

Following the huge success of the European Choir Games and Grand Prix of Nations in 2015, Magdeburg – home city of Baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann – will once again become a welcoming host for a dynamic and inspiring festival of choral music.

The Chorfest Magdeburg, which has been successfully organized by the Choir Association Saxony-Anhalt for years, will be enriched with an international choir competition by INTERKULTUR to create an eventful international festival to connect local choirs with singers from all over the world.

Competitions in different levels of difficulty, categories and settings as well as Friendship Concerts, possibilities for singing together and personal education leave nothing to be desired by the participating choirs.

Marit Tøndel Bodsberg aus Norwegen, erhielte ihren Bachelor-Abschluss in Musik-<br />

Performance von der Universität Agder (Schwerpunkte Komposition, Gesang und Flöte).<br />

Im Jahr 2005 war sie die einzige Studentin, die für ein Masterstudium in Dirigieren an der<br />

Norwegischen Akademie für Musik zugelassen wurde. Zu den führenden norwegischen Chören<br />

und Ensembles, mit denen sie zusammenarbeitete, gehören der Norwegische Solistenchor,<br />

der Osloer Kammerchor und der Kammerchor der Norwegischen Akademie für Musik. Neben<br />

dem Dirigat von Kvindelige Studenterssangforening, Norwegian Student Choral Society und<br />

Vestoppland Chamber Choir, ist sie auch als künstlerische Leiterin und Dirigentin des Kilden<br />

Vocal Ensemble und als Lehrerin an der Musikhochschule Oslo tätig.<br />

Im Herbst 2012 erhielt Bodsberg Weyde den Dirigentenpreis für den Auftritt der Kvindelige<br />

Studenterssangforening beim nationalen Chorwettbewerb Norwegens, und im Sommer<br />

2015 führte sie den gleichen Chor zum Sieg bei den European Choir Games und Grand Prix<br />

of Nations in <strong>Magdeburg</strong>. Im Herbst 2015 wurde sie mit dem Dirigentenpreis ausgezeichnet,<br />

während sie mit dem Vestoppland Chamber Choir beim Canta al Mar Wettbewerb in Spanien<br />

und im Sommer 2017 erneut beim Anton Bruckner Chorwettbewerb und Festival in Linz am<br />

Wettbewerb mit der Norwegischen Studentenchorgesellschaft teilnahm.<br />

Marit Tøndel Bodsberg from Norway received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from<br />

the University of Agder with major areas of study in composition, singing and flute. In 2005, she<br />

was the only student accepted to study for a Master’s degree in conducting at the Norwegian<br />

Academy of Music. The leading Norwegian choirs and ensembles with which Bodsberg has<br />

worked include the Norwegian Soloists’ Choir, the Oslo Chamber Choir, and the Norwegian<br />

Academy of Music Chamber Choir. In addition to conducting Kvindelige Studenterssangforening,<br />

the Norwegian Student Choral Society and Vestoppland Chamber Choir, she is also artistic<br />

director and conductor of Kilden Vocal Ensemble and teacher at the Academy of Music in Oslo.<br />

In the autumn of 2012, Bodsberg Weyde was awarded the Conductor’s Prize for Kvindelige<br />

Studenterssangforening’s performance at Norway’s national choral competition, and in the<br />

summer of 2015 she led the same choir to victory in the European Choir Games and Grand<br />

Prix of Nations in <strong>Magdeburg</strong>. In the autumn of 2015 she received the Conductor Prize while<br />

competing with the Vestoppland Chamber Choir at the Canta al Mar competition in Spain, and<br />

again at the Anton Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival in Linz in the summer of 2017<br />

while competing together with the Norwegian Student Choral Society.
