Mebel Expo<br />
Türkiye has become an important supplier for<br />
Russia. As many authorities confirmed, confirmed,<br />
the Russian demand has been shifting<br />
toward Türkiye in the wake of the sanctions.<br />
European companies want to use Türkiye as<br />
“a warehouse and a bridge” to do business<br />
with Russia, while Russian companies want to<br />
buy goods from Türkiye, said Çetin Tecdelioğlu<br />
from TIM (Turkish Exporters’ Assembly), adding<br />
that this represents an opportunity for the<br />
Turkish industry and exports.<br />
Türkiye’s exports to Russia increased from $417 million in July 2021<br />
to $730 million in July <strong>2022</strong>, accounting for 3.9 percent of all exports.<br />
In the first seven months of <strong>2022</strong>, exports to Russia climbed from<br />
$3.05 billion to $3.64 billion in the same period of last year.<br />
Mebel Expo of Moscow will be a good opportunity for the furniture industry<br />
and for the sleep products sector. Conscious of this fact, over<br />
60 Turkish exporters will be exhibiting their innovative and competitive<br />
products in the fair to expand their existing trade and to find new opportunities.<br />
In addition to exhibiting companies, there will be a great<br />
number of visitor flow to the show. We will also be there to distribute<br />
free copies of Sleep Well and Sleep Tech magazines and to cover the<br />
event in our following issue.<br />
