Entertainment Plans
For 2023
By: Evan Davis / Entertainment Director
can’t believe it’s 2023. Time really flies by when
I you’re having fun and producing 20 shows for
The Vegas Voice.
Last year was lots of fun but wait till you see what’s in store for you
this year. I’m just going to tell you what’s coming up this first quarter,
starting with the return of fan favorite Tony Arias on Saturday January
21 st at Sun City MacDonald Ranch.
Then on February 18 th , Lisa & Ron Smith will be bringing you
“Back To Broadway” with all the familiar show tunes you know and
love. And as the photo shows, this fantastic couple also had the “honor”
of being my guests in my first podcast.
January 2023
February resumes our “Afternoon Affair” luncheon/variety show,
hosted by yours truly along with Jonny Bird. The luncheon is on Friday,
February 24 th and starts at noon with half a dozen or so performers
taking the stage at 1:15. We will return with another “Afternoon Affair”
show on March 24 th with a whole new lineup and menu.
And we will bring back the Folk Legacy Trio with back-to-back
shows. Friday, March 10 th at the Summerlin Library and Saturday,
March 11th at Sun City MacDonald Ranch.
Enough of what The Vegas Voice and I will be bringing you this
first quarter. How about the multi-talented Kelly Vohnn performing
every Sunday at Notoriety in the Neonopolis on Freemont Street? It
is produced by Jennifer Romas and will have rotating male guest
singers starting off with Chadwick Johnson.
You can also go to the Piazza Lounge in the Tuscany Hotel on any
night and catch some very talented performers. Craig Canter on
Mondays, Rita Lim on Sundays and the list goes on.
On the west side, you can stop by Siena Deli and hear Kent Foote
& The Vegas Good Fellas on Thursday nights. There’s also Maxan
Sushi and Jazz on Decatur - which will be starting a late-night hang on
the weekends with musicians to sit in.
