A word from the Principal...
Dear families,
Welcome to the first newsletetr of 2023 and Happy New Year to you all.
It has been great to welcome everyone back to school following an enjoyable Christmas break.
Even better news is that we seem to be over the worst of the latest bout of illnesses that swept
through the school prior to Christmas and the attendance of staff and children has now returned
to normal. On that note, can I please reiterate the importance of your child arriving in school on
time as we have a number of children arriving late in the morning. Not only does this result in lost
learning time, but it is also be very hard for children to enter the classroom once everyone else has
settled and has a negative impact on the rest of the class when their learning is disrupted.
As we move into the Spring Term, hopefully the weather will begin to improve, which will allow us
to take more of our learning into the local environment, go out on a range of trips and residentials
and enjoy our forest and farm school experiences without the need for hats, wellies and waterproofs!
If you have not done so already, please ensure your child has signed up to the after-school clubs
they would like to attend. We are currently running 30 clubs a week, which is amazing for a school
of our size and would like to thank our staff team for giving up their time to run these clubs at
lunchtimes and afterschool.
Kind regards,
Mr Adam Anderson
Principal
