Broad and Balanced...<br />
Y3<br />
Year 3 have had a great start to 2023 and have all come back to school with<br />
positive attitudes towards their learning. They have enjoyed starting their new<br />
topic, The Stone Age and have already learnt quite a bit! So far they have focused<br />
on identifying how we know about the Stone Age and what evidence we<br />
have to suggest what life was like back then. They created a timeline to understand<br />
how long ago the Stone Age was. The children have analysed some cave<br />
paintings and have discussed how people lived back then and which animals<br />
were around. They had great fun creating some cave art of their own. Their<br />
English work has been linked to the text, Stone Age Boy and the children have<br />
been role playing parts of the story and creating diary entries and comic strips<br />
to understand the text in more detail. They are really excited by this topic and<br />
can’t wait to learn more!<br />
