MEET EVA AND GEORGE WHO LOOKED AT EACH<br />
OTHER ONE EVENING AND THOUGHT: WE NEED A<br />
CHANGE OF SCENERY, A NEW, BIGGER KITCHEN.<br />
The project really took off. By the end, the<br />
dining room wall was gone, making way for<br />
a large, multi-functional space for cooking,<br />
dining, lounging and spending time together<br />
as a couple and with guests, thanks, in part,<br />
to an unusual, yet skilful mix of styles.<br />
Turquoise wall tiles, inspired by Chinese<br />
rugs and ceramics from Canton Province,<br />
contrast the wall unit in cognac satin. The<br />
agate grey units in glass matt and ceiling-high<br />
cupboard elements create a stylistic<br />
link to the cosy living area with its gas<br />
fireplace, bookcase and Scandinavian table<br />
and chairs. The units, with their aesthetically<br />
pleasing handleless design and strong<br />
geometric joint pattern, provide ample storage<br />
space. For the couple, everyday tasks<br />
are a delight in this perfectly organised,<br />
ergonomic environment.<br />

ZUM BEISPIEL EVA UND GEORGE, DIE SICH EINES<br />
ABENDS ANSCHAUTEN UND DASSELBE DACHTEN:<br />
EIN TAPETENWECHSEL MÜSSE HER, EINE NEUE<br />
KÜCHE, GRÖSSER ALS DIE ALTE. Das Projekt entwickelte<br />
eine Eigendynamik. Am Ende war<br />
die Wand zum Essbereich weg und ein großzügiger<br />
Raum entstanden, der vieles vereint:<br />
kochen, genießen, gemütlich beisammensitzen;<br />
ein Tummelplatz für das Paar und<br />
seine Gäste. Was auch mit dem ungewöhnlichen<br />
wie gekonnten Stilmix zu tun hat. Blaugrüne<br />
Wandkacheln, inspiriert von chinesischen<br />
Teppichen und Keramiken der Kanton<br />
Region, kontrastiert von einem Oberschrank<br />
in Cognac satin. Den stilistischen Bogen zum<br />
eher wohnlichen Bereich mit Gaskamin,<br />
Bücherwand und einer skandinavischen<br />
Sitzgruppe spannt die achatgraue Zeile in<br />
Glas matt nebst raumhoch geplanten<br />
Schrankelementen. Ihre grifflose Ausführung<br />
macht sie zum ästhetischen Vergnügen;<br />
zudem offenbart sich hinter dem streng<br />
geometrisch verlaufenden Fugenbild ein<br />
wahres Stauraumwunder. Für das Paar eine<br />
Wohltat mit perfekt organisierten, ergonomischen<br />
Arbeitsabläufen.<br />
