Details: A unique structure was needed at
glampsite Wild With Nature in East Anglia
as a shared space for guests to use while
staying in luxury shepherd huts. A custom
designed safari tent with several bespoke
elements was settled on from British
manufacturer, Bond Fabrications.
Site owners Rebecca and Andy Thornton
contacted Bond to source additional space
for their guests. Somewhere to cook,
relax and gather with friends while still
being immersed in the serene, natural
surroundings of the farm, and so the
overall style was very important.
The safari tent was designed to
house two individual kitchen
spaces at the rear and an open
lounge to admire the view from
the front gable, which opens
up completely to create a
much larger covered area.

success, with plenty of space for families
to cook while offering flexibility for bigger
groups. ‘The Nest’, as it’s fondly known,
has become an important feature at the
glamping site, blending into the surrounding
environment beautifully.

Cage 1200 to Forest & Beach, a fantastic
site for people of all ages to enjoy
outdoor activities and onsite glamping/
camping. It hosts many school
residentials and team building days
where people can access and explore
ancient woodlands and stunning South
Devon beaches – a chance to reconnect
with nature and the environment.
Customer feedback: Andrea Moore,
founder and director of Forest & Beach,
said: “The Fire Cage has been a fantastic
addition to our school camps. The
children love being able to see the food
being cooked over the wood and coals
and both adults and children comment
on the flavours produced.
“Watching the cooking taking place
makes them feel part of the process
and it is much more preferable than a
canteen for us. We use it for cooking a
variety of meats as well as vegetarian
meals and it easily caters for 70 plus
children and adults.”
