FUNCTION VENUES CASE STUDY Sheepy A new tipi venue with a relaxed bohemian feel in Leicestershire Meadows We talk to Ellie Cashmore about the launch of a tipi venue by the team behind the award winning Mythe Barn and corporate events company Eventurous. Created in response to the pandemic, Sheepy Meadows has gone on to achieve a Silver ECOsmart award for its sustainability practices. When did you start your venue business and what is its history? We began our journey over a decade ago and now own multiple enterprises at Mythe Farm, including award winning wedding and events venue, Mythe Barn, and corporate event management company, Eventurous. We decided to launch Sheepy Meadows tipi venue in 2021. The launch came after we recognised a growing need for unique wedding and event venues that “COVID WAS A BIG DRIVER, CREATING A DEMAND FOR SPACES THAT COULD BE WELL VENTILATED” offer something different from the traditional, something that is easy to bespoke and eco-friendly. Covid was a big driver, creating a demand for spaces that could be well ventilated. Tell us about your location and site The venue is at Mythe Farm in Sheepy Magna, on the borders of Warwickshire and Leicester.
