Being in a fabulous central
Midlands location and having
Eventurous, our events business,
located right next door at the
farm, it was ideally suited to take
advantage of the pent-up demand
for getting teams back together
again.
How large is your team – any
special people you’d like to
mention?
We have a small, close team
working on the tipi and we
concentrate heavily on our values
and culture across all the brands.
In our team we have
event management
professionals and
wedding experts with
endless amounts of
experience and we
all believe strongly
in delivering
the very best
experiences.
The broader Eventurous team is
always on hand to assist whenever
needed, bringing broad expertise
for more challenging event
briefs along with most of the kit
you could possibly want for any
corporate or festival-style event.
Have you worked with any
industry bodies or consultants?
Yes, we are delighted to be working
with hospitality sustainability
specialists Greengage Solutions,
who are supporting us with our
roadmap and achieving green
targets.
This year Sheepy Meadows was
presented with a Silver ECOsmart
venue award which came after
we met over 50% of the already
recommended green initiatives
which included our wildflower
meadow, 500 solar panels, 12,000
newly planted trees, zero to
landfill waste management and
homes for bees on site. We are
also MUTA venue members, giving
clients confidence in our tipi as a
structure and its maintenance and
management.
What are your plans for next
season?
With being a new venue, we have
lots of ideas. This season we are
launching a new ceremony area
and will hopefully have our civil
ceremony license for both the tipi
and the new ceremony canopy in
the coming weeks.
We’d possibly like to incorporate
the adjoining old rustic Dutch barn
and create a backwater bar to
accompany the tipi’s rustic natural
bohemian style.
Describe your average day
mid-season?
Anyone experiencing the
day here gets to arrive via
the breath-taking journey
up the long farm drive,
soaking up the wildflower
meadows and spotting
wildlife from pheasants to
rabbits and our very own flock
of sheep on the way.
