Experience issue 2023

Dear customers, partners and readers, After the successful bauma 2022 in Munich, we are now also appearing in our Experience for the first time with all the new brands of the TIME Group. You will find 92 pages of news and information about the products of RUTHMANN, VERSALIFT, France Elévateur and MOVEX. With this issue, which we will launch at APEX 2023, we would also like to announce an outstanding new product: We are very pleased to present the new T 1000 HF on pages 4 - 5 as the goal of our “Tour de TIME” for 2024, with which RUTHMANN will again crack the 100-meter mark and offer the most innovative and flexible equipment in this class. You will certainly read a lot of outstanding things about this in the coming years. Not quite as high, but still just as great, are the other machines in this issue. Benefit from our Experience and read about the many positive experiences our customers have had with the new innovative electric drives and how well they work in practice. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues who, with their innovative thinking, enjoyment of their work and outstanding personal commitment, continue to optimize our products and make them the best on the global market. We hope you enjoy reading this issue. Your TIME Management Team: Kim Bach Jensen (TIME Europe), Uwe Strotmann (RUTHMANN), Charles Goffin (France Elévateur)

INTERVIEW WITH FRANCE ELÉVATEUR CUSTOMER
CITEOS: THE 162 TLE ECO PACK IN USE AT CITEOS
For us, feedback from our customers is of the utmost importance. It enables us to improve and to respond ever
more precisely to the needs of the operators. Our client Citeos is a specialist in urban infrastructure: lighting,
fibre optics, internet distribution service, TV subscribers, camera, low voltage network intervention. What
does Alain Casel, manager of the CITEOS branch in Longwy, appreciate about France Elévateur machines, especially
the 162 TLE Eco Pack?
As a nationwide company specialising in electrical installation
work on public roads, the requirements are many
and varied. Alain Casel explains that versatility is one of the
main needs of CITEOS technicians. For example, employees
do different tasks on the same day. It is also necessary to be
able to work at night.
The minimum requirement of CITEOS is 16 metres working
height. For other uses, new requests from CITEOS members
are emerging. For example, minimum noise for interventions
in public spaces in the city centre.
CITEOS has a strong need for aerial work platforms, as
working at height is at the heart of their business. The
CITEOS fleet in Longwy includes nine machines: several
light vehicles such as 162 TLE on Iveco and Mercedes, for
compactness and use on slopes. A truck that acts as a mobile
workshop. A 162 TLE Eco Pack for a reduced carbon
footprint. Plus TOPY, the must-have, an ATL and a 142
TPFC cutaway van.
New users of electric vehicles often have the same fear
before taking the leap to electric mobility: autonomy. Alain
Casel says: it’s not a problem! Given the use of these machines,
autonomy is quite sufficient. What’s more, the 162
TLE Eco Pack simply stays plugged into its 16-amp socket
in the park’s “green” slot for an evening and the battery is
recharged.
And this recharging does not take place every night, it is
not necessary at all. One refill per working week is enough
to cover the energy demand.
The figures also speak for themselves. During one working
week, 220 kg/CO 2
were not released. And 144 litres of
diesel were saved.
THE 162 TLE, THE ECO REFERENCE PACKAGE FOR IN-
TERVENTIONS IN URBAN AREAS
The 162 TLE for the Eco package is perfect for saving
money and reducing the company’s carbon footprint. For
CITEOS, the 162 TLE Eco Pack is a very environmentally
conscious vehicle. As an electric vehicle, it enables silent
and emission-free navigation through city streets. No noise
or odour nuisance for technicians and citizens.
Alain Casel is pleased to have succeeded in reducing the
sites’ carbon footprint. In an environment that requires the
daily use of vehicles and many kilometres travelled (7,800
for CITEOS with this vehicle!), moving away from the internal
combustion engine to be more environmentally friendly
is a nice and honourable goal.
In the past, explains Mr Casel, “we often got comments
from people in the city centre (too noisy, too much exhaust
fumes) because we sometimes had to work for 30 minutes
with the engine running.” In the meantime, the feedback
is much more positive, and people talk about it being
“pleasant” to use. The 162 TLE Eco Pack is perceived as a
very positive, environmentally conscious machine by the
citizens,” says Alain Casel.
