STEIGER ® WRAPPING THE ARC DE TRIOMPHE IN PARIS
For 60 years, the idea of the artist
couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude
to cover the Arc de Triomphe in
Paris lay in a drawer. Finally, the
couple‘s dream has come true.
In September 2021, the last strips
of fabric were unrolled over the
Arc de Triomphe and attached with
help of RUTHMANN STEIGER ® .
Unfortunately, the couple will no
longer be able to witness the wrapping
themselves, as both artists have
already passed away. The Claude
couple became famous worldwide for
wrapping famous buildings. The first
building to be wrapped by Christo and
Jeanne-Claude was the Kunsthalle in
Bern in 1968, followed by many others,
including the Reichstag in Berlin.
For the wrapping at dizzying heights,
the countless helpers used aerial work
platforms to reach the entire building
as easily and smoothly as possible.
Among the working platforms were
the RUTHMANN STEIGER ® T 650 HF,
the T 750 HF, the T 510 HF and the T
570 HF. The STEIGER ® were provided
by our customers Salti and CAUVAS
OCCILEV from France.
SANTA CLAUS TRUSTS THE VERSALIFT VTX-240
In 2022, Father Christmas in Denmark opted for
VERSALIFT to get on the roofs and then up the chimneys
for Christmas. He has found over the years that it is more
practical and safer than having to park a sleigh with the 8
reindeer on the roofs over and over again!
Here it is the local Father Christmas in Farsø who has borrowed
a VTX-240 so that he can help light up the town’s
tall Christmas tree to the great delight of the local children.
