Science degree from Birmingham-Southern College and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
from the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy (AUHSOP) in a seven-yearperiod.
Students may complete the first professional year (33 total semester hours) to fulfill their
senior year of their bachelor's degree at BSC. Upon successful completion of the first
year and receipt of an Auburn University final transcript, BSC will confer the bachelor's
degree.
To be eligible for enrollment in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, students must have
competed at least 25 regular units and two Exploration terms, and fulfilled all general
education and major requirements (with the exception of the Senior Capstone
requirement) at Birmingham-Southern College. Once the remaining requirements are
completed at Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy (AUHSOP), the student
will be awarded the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
BSC Students who have completed a minimum of two terms of undergraduate courses
(minimum 24 semester credit hours) with a minimum GPA of 3.250 may apply for early
admission to the AUHSOP program. The AUHSOP will track all early admitted
applicants and hold future seats in the PharmD program for a time period of up to four
years from the date they matriculated into the undergraduate course work. In order to
maintain their reserved seat, students must:
• be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours (3 BSC units) each term
(excluding summer)
• maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.250 at the completion of each academic year
• have no grade lower than a “C” in any course
• have no withdrawals from any course
• have not been disciplined by BSC or a state licensing agency
