PRODUCT IN FOCUS
Tented Structures
Wild Luxury, Norfolk
Product: 18 safari tents of varying sizes
Supplier: BOND Fabrications, 01453 767171,
enquiries@bondfabrications.co.uk, www.bondfabrications.co.uk
Details: Glampsite Wild Luxury on the Norfolk coast has been a client of
BOND for over 12 years as it has grown and expanded. Having started with
just five of BOND’s safari tents, the site now has 18 of varying sizes including
large safari tents and Master Safari Lodges that can sleep larger groups or
a couple of families. All structures were developed with the client’s specific
needs in mind and the results are stunning!
BOND says it is always a pleasure to see its clients’ business develop and
that it is a joy to foster those relationships. The team makes it a priority
to support clients long after an initial sale and, being a British-based
manufacturer, it is always on hand and specialises in helping create bespoke
structures.
Customer feedback: Jonathan Barber, owner, said: “We initially chose
BOND simply because they offered the highest quality product at the most
affordable price. Over the years we have found that it is the level of personal
service combined with an ability to customise their product that truly sets
them apart.”
New Range of Nomadic Tents
Spirits Intent
We are making a new range of nomadic tents
known as ‘alachighs’. These structures originate
from the Shahsevan tribe of Iran and they are
like a yurt without the trellis walls – a dome
with elegantly continuous curved rafters, like a
cathedral.
We are currently making a large 30ft alachigh
with a modern twist, using metal connectors
for the rafters and horizontal struts and a metal
wheel. This will be for sale as a large, beautiful
space perfect as an affordable glamping tent or for
guests wanting something nomadic and traditional
but novel. Also perfect for magical events, theatre
or novel tourism experiences or even as a grand
themed restaurant.
We are one of the UK leaders in canvas covers
and for over 10 years we have been focusing on
bringing back a different nomadic tent at a time.
This your chance to own something no one else
has.
We call these µ-tents (using the Greek letter Mu)
because they represent mutant tent forms of the
nomadic tradition that are now extinct. We aim to
follow with a Nogay cart tent (wedding yurt on a
cart), a Scottish traveller tent and others. We aim
to weave handmade elements that exalt British
artisan manufacture, using stainless steel, steamed
ash, one hundred per cent wool felt and British
proofed army grade canvas.
As tent making in the UK is becoming rarer, with
many structures now drop-shipped from abroad,
we hope you join us in this adventure. Contact
us to order your bespoke yurt cover or unique
nomadic tent like no other.
