CELEBRATING seven years in her current premises
this year, Emma Carlin owner, lead therapist and
trauma specialist at Radiant Health reflects on the
successes and challenges she has faced since
opening her Highfields Road clinic.
First and foremost she is proud to have helped so
many people achieve physical and emotional wellbeing.
Emma explains: “My work is so rewarding and
there is no better feeling than knowing that you have
played a part in relieving someone’s pain or
emotional discomfort.”
Given the challenges that our communities currently
face, Emma is finding that the clinic is dealing with
clients with more complex issues, as well as those
coping with the symptoms of stress. She has also
seen the number of male clients visting the clinic double.
Says Emma: “I understand that many people are struggling with
the cost of living at the moment. As a clinic we have tried to
absorb price increases and offer a payment plan system for
those who require our services but may be struggling to pay
upfront right now.”
Each year Emma selects a different sector of workers who can
enjoy a 10% discount at the clinic. Previous years have seen
teachers, NHS workers and carers benefit from the discount
scheme. This year it is those who possess a Blue Light card for
working in the Police Service that can take advantage.
Never happy to rest on her laurels, Emma is keen to advance
her knowledge and treatment portfolio with contstant training.
She explains: “I have studied Reflexology in many forms:
maternity and fertility, cranio sacral, palliative care as well as
clinical. I am a massage therapist in hot stones, salt stones,
