HLS LINE<br />
Low stretch at the strike is critical, especially over<br />
long distances as the energy is translated into<br />
line elongation before it reaches the hook. Braid<br />
lines are very low stretch; however, they do not<br />
stand up to abrasion well compared to mono<br />
lines and are very poor in bite detection in slack<br />
line conditions.<br />
For traditionalists who fish low stretch<br />
speciality mono lines, First Dart’s HALS, its<br />
new low stretch monofilament, is an option. It<br />
stretches below 20 per cent at break, among the<br />
lowest in the industry; in addition, the line also<br />
features three times higher abrasion resistant<br />
properties as compared to standard mono lines.<br />
HALS comes with enhanced sensitivity and<br />
extra low memory, so it‘s well suited for use as a<br />
