Silverstar and Sun Peaks followed suit soon after and developed
bike parks and have been offering lift accessed trails since around
2010. Latterly Revelstoke, Big White, Panorama and Kicking
Horse have joined the fray all developing bike parks since around
2015.
Whistler is characterized by huge descents and the huge jump
lines on A line, Dirt Merchant and Top of the World. Two major
gondolas operate out of Whistler and Creekside villages offering
1500 metres of descent and 250km of trails. This is separated into
several zones, The original being Fitzsimmons and the newest
being Creekside where there is an awesome range of flow and
tech trails. Despite being known for advanced riding, Whistler has
trails for everyone, beautiful scenery, wildlife and loads of nonriding
activities.

Big White, is embracing mountain biking as quickly as it can get
the trails built. Not only is Big White developing some of the best
trails in BC, it is hosting Crank Works style Big Air and Slopestyle
competitions on a purpose built arena. While not huge in number
the trails are huge in quality, variety and take in the beautiful
landscapes found at Big White. Flow, jumps, rocky tech, rock rolls
and drops are all in abundance at Big White.
No matter what kind of mountainbiking you’re into, whatever level
you are at you, will find it in Canada. On top of this you will find
the most wonderful people, fantastic craft beer, awesome food,
amazing scenery and wildlife.
Silver star another one of the original ski resorts to offer mountain
biking as a summer activity. Located in the Okanagan valley, Silver
Star has a compact village halfway up the mountain and one lift.
The trails range from fast flowing cruisers to steep tech. Another
resort known for traditional wooden structures, seesaws and
skinnys. Silverstar is a destination not to be missed.
Sun Peaks, a natural addition to Whistler on a Canadian MTB trip.
With its large friendly village at the base of the mountain, beautiful
grassy slopes and range of trails Sun Peaks offers a wide range
of experiences. The flow and jump trails of Canada line and Stella
blue contrast well with the tech of Super Nugget, Sugar and Arm
Pump.
Revelstoke, one of the newer additions to the world of lift
accessed mountain biking. Deep in the Selkirk Tangiers mountains
Revelstoke is quickly acquiring legendary status with its 15km long
Fifty Six Twenty trail which is named for the 5620 feet of vertical
the trail travels down. Accessed by one of the longest gondola’s
in BC, plus a 7.8km climb this trail takes you from the summit of
