Harry, aged 16, of Kaiapoi, is under no illusions about how hardthe racing will be when he competes against 89 other riders from 17 countries in early November. All will be aiming for just 20 slots on the grid in the Idemitsu Asia TalentCup in 2024. Viewed as aMotoGP entry class, the Asia TalentCup helps prepare young riders for possible inclusion at the highestlevels of motorcycle racing. Harry will lineupfor two daysofracing at the selection event beingheld at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. ‘‘I'm excitedtobeselected for the event and will work my hardest to be one of the 20 riders to compete in the Idemitsu Asia TalentCup in 2024.’’ Over two days —November 7 and 8—hewill be battling it out on the smaller, twistykart track at Sepang.
