Transitioning between batch and
continuous processes
“One very interesting aspect of this
conveyor system is that it forms a
bridge between batch processing
upstream and continuous processing
downstream at the dryer, which
needs to be fed constantly. Whatever
equipment sits between the two has
to act as a buffer between batch and
continuous processing, in addition to
achieving its other objectives,” said
Sosnicki. “We worked closely together
with Key to address the challenges
inherent in this transition and configure
the ideal system to maximize our line
efficiency.”

to accurately meter product. With

to 100 percent.

new Impulse conveyors feature
electromagnetic drives, which allow
us to simply adjust the speed from
the control panel,” said Sosnicki.

for our operators and better for our
