GLAMPING<br />
With the ever-growing demand for interesting<br />
and eco-friendly leisure experiences, comes the<br />
requirement for an appropriate toilet system.<br />
Based in the grounds of the historic Chavenage<br />
House Estate in Gloucestershire, Wild Carrot features<br />
a selection of glamping structures and is a perfect<br />
example. The owners concentrated on ensuring that<br />
everything, from concept to customer experience,<br />
is focused on ecology. Of course, this must include<br />
appropriate toilets and waste disposal facilities.<br />
While searching for a solution they discovered<br />
LeeSan, the UK distributor for the Cinderella range of<br />
incineration toilets. After consultation, the decision<br />
was made to install Cinderella Comfort units. These<br />
provide practical, waterless, waste disposal using a<br />
well proven technology which has been in operation<br />
for over 25 years.<br />
When operated the unit automatically processes<br />
(incinerates) the waste, leaving only a tiny amount<br />
of inert ash which, after numerous cycles, can be<br />
disposed of by simply tipping away outside. In this<br />
instance, mains electricity was selected as the power<br />
source. Bottled gas versions are available.<br />

Outdoor hospitality operators will be well<br />
aware of the operational challenges that come<br />
with providing hot tubs for their guests.<br />
Forest Holidays, a certified B Corporation,<br />
are the UK’s largest operator of hot tubs. Their<br />
site at Keldy, North Yorkshire is one of 13 in the<br />
UK with a choice of 67 cabins nestled in the<br />
forest, all of which feature their own private hot<br />
tub for guests to enjoy.<br />
Having taken delivery of a fleet of 10<br />
portable Hydro Heaters, it is now possible to<br />
guarantee guests that their hot tub will be hot<br />
and ready for them to use on arrival.<br />
The typical one hour heat up time has<br />
transformed operations for the team on site,<br />
who can now fill and reheat their hot tubs<br />
within a very short time window.<br />
The Hydro Heater’s 60kW output, and<br />
operating costs from 5.5p per kW means<br />
substantial savings in time and energy costs<br />
to the tune of tens of thousands of pounds<br />
per year on each of the parks, along with a<br />
significant uptick in customer satisfaction.<br />
