Lot 286 Magic Bank – Yellow, Red & Blue Made by J. & E. Stevens Cromwell, Connecticut – Circa 1876 Open the door so the cashier is facing forward. Place a coin on the tray in his hands and press the knob on the right side of the bank. Quickly, the door will fl ip around, depositing your coin. Money can also be deposited in a non-mechanical way through a slot in the rear roof of the bank. Therefore, it is approximately ½” shorter than its more common relative, the “double peanut” tree.
