Lot 333 William Tell Bank
with Original Box
Made by the
J. & E. Stevens Company
Cromwell, Connecticut –
Circa 1896
A fantastic depiction of the folklore
narrative, but here, William Tell has
a rifl e instead of a crossbow.
To operate, place a coin on the rifl e
The coin is shot into the castle and
rings a bell after knocking the apple
off his son’s head.
Provenance: Mosler Collection
Estimate: $8,000 - $10,000
below when the shutters open.
