Lot 253 Football Bank
Made by John Harper Company Willenhall, England – Circa 1895
More commonly referred to as the “English Football” bank, this is one of the best sporting themed banks ever created.
It depicts a soccer player kicking a penalty goal. The bank works only with old British copper pennies.
Harper marketed this bank to a wide audience with a player who was wearing their favorite team colors.

Lot 254 Frog Bank (Two Frogs)
Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company
Cromwell, Connecticut – Circa 1882
Place a coin on the tummy of the small frog; press the lever and it’s kicked into the big frog’s mouth.
The action is so fast that the eye cannot detect the movement of the coin into the bank.
