Legal provisions for foreign architects<br />
Although anyone is free to set up practice as an architect in the Netherlands, the title of architect has<br />
been professionally protected since 1988. This means that anyone wishing to use the title in the<br />
Netherlands must be registered with the Stichting Bureau Architectenregister (Architects' registration<br />
board) in The Hague.<br />
