A decree by the Gouvernemnt de la Communauté française (the government of the French-speaking Wallonie-Bruxelles area) – where the two Belgian sites of Europan 5 are concerned – recognizing the equivalence of the holder’s qualification to that of the legal Belgian architecture diploma; and a Royal Decree authorizing the practice of the profession of architect in Belgium. Once these two decrees have been obtained, the person concerned may apply for membership of the Belgian Order of Architects. Relevant contact information is available at the Secretariat of Europan Belgium B. The interested party holds a legal Belgian diploma for the practice of architecture in Belgium. To work as an architect, such a person will only be required to obtain the Royal Decree authorizing the practice of the profession of architect in Belgium. Implementations Europan 4 Arlon. Sites and prizes available 2 sites:Praha-6 and Pilsen 4 prizes : 2 winners and 2 runners-up Legal provisions for foreign architects The permission and therefore the possibilities to exercise in Czech Republic are defined under the provisions of the Building Law, by the Act on Engagement of Chartered Architects, law n°360 / 1992, and on authorization of the Czech National Order of Architects. The Czech National Order of Architects delivers an authorization according to the rules aforementioned in the following fields : civil engineering, urban planning, design and landscaping, or an unspecified authorization — i.e. a general authorization in any field of activity. If a foreign architect wishes to exercize his profession and to implement buildings in the Czech Republic, in the fields defined par the regulations, there are two possibilities : 1- To work in association with a czech architect entitled with a building authorization. In this case, there are two simples possibilities of association, as an employee of the czech architect, or by creating a joint desk by means of an association or by creating in common a legal person. The copyrights are detained by both architects. The czech authorized architect marks this common protection with his official authorization. 2- In a few cases, an exception can be made to these regulations and, under certain circumstances, a foreign architect can receive the permission to exercise his profession directly from the Order of Czech Architects. In this case, the foreign architect must obtain a recognition of his foreign diploma and reference of his professional activity. Therefore, all the documents must be translated in czech. The cost of this translation are payable by the applicant. If the applicant is not able to obtain a recognition of his diploma, he may ask for an exceptionnal authorization according to paragraph 8, section IV of the law n° 360/1992. The Order of Czech Architects may recognize a similar qualification and exempt the applicant of the diploma certificate, only if he passes the examination of professionnal qualification. This examination includes a test of knowledge and of personal practice, as far as the works submitted allow to do so, and an examination of knowledge of the czech regulations in the professionnal field of activity under consideration.
