Sites and prizes available<br />
Just this once, Swiss do not propose any site for the session <strong>Europan</strong> 8.<br />
But Swiss architects who meet the general requirements of European participation can register for any of<br />
the 75 sites proposed by the 19 participating countries of <strong>Europan</strong> 8.<br />
Legal provisions for foreign architects<br />
In Switzerland, competitions are open to any architects located in Swiss or in any country belonging to the<br />
ones that signs the OMC agreements on public markets and if architects meet the following requirements:<br />
- to have a diploma or a diploma equivalence with the Zürich and Lausanne federal polytechnical schools,<br />
or with the Institute of Architecture of the Geneva University (IAUG or EAUG), or with High Specialized<br />
Studies (HES or ETS).<br />
- to be registered with the architects professional register REG A or B (Swiss Foundation of engineers,<br />
architects or technicians Registers.<br />
In Europe, the swiss conditions are available ; therefore, European conditions precise more in details the<br />
requirements for partnerships.<br />

1 - Jacques Richter. Lutry, draft on a mixed program, housing-craft. Yverdon-les-Bains, development of<br />
multi-purpose dwellings prototypes “SWHOME”. Lausanne, construction of two “SWHOME” villas.<br />
2 - Pascale Volait / Pierre Bureau. Neuchâtel, “Street furniture” competition in 1990 : 1-st prize,<br />
construction follow-up for 72 bus shelters for the Société générale d’affichage, the city and the Neuchâtel<br />
public transportations. Neuchâtel, draft and feasibility study for an apartment building “<strong>Europan</strong>” type with<br />
28 dwellings.<br />
