introduced by Tiffany in 1895. The ''Colonial'' pattern was chosen by Farnham to be<br />

used in his own home. The pattern became 'inactive' after 1913. Provenance: Property<br />

from the Estate of Ms. Bess Meredyth Curtiz, First 38th founding Member of Academy<br />

of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Silent Screen Actress and Writer. Wife of Mr.<br />

Condition: Good for age, normal wear to finish. General marks, scratches and<br />

tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Some bowls to spoons bent or very slightly<br />

misshapen. Some dirt/food accumulation to some. Dinner knives re-bladed with<br />

stainless steel blades. Descriptions of individual pieces are to the best of our judgment.<br />

The set should be viewed in person for proper identification of specific utensil types.<br />

Canteen in good overall condition with typical marks and scratches. With wear to<br />

hardware commensurate with age.<br />

18k yellow & white gold (28 grams) designed with 3 birds sitting around a nest filled<br />

with seed pearl eggs, with 69 single and full-cut round diamonds totaling 1.05 cts, with<br />

G-H/VS qualities and 3 pear-shaped cabochon emeralds for bodies and 5 circular<br />

rubies for eyes, 1.5'' H x 2'' W, est:$2500/3500<br />

Condition: The emeralds dark grayish green with typical eye visible surface reaching<br />

inclusions. The brooch in overall good condition.<br />

certificate 16841192, dated January 17, 2008 stating D color and VS2 clarity with no<br />

fluorescence, and a marquise-cut diamond weighing 1.13 cts, with GIA certificate<br />

16841185, dated January 17th, 2008 stating F color and SI1 clarity, with faint<br />

fluorescence, a marquise-cut diamond gauged at 1 ct, with F-G/SI qualities and five<br />

marquise-cut diamonds totaling 3.75 cts, with G-H/VS-SI qualities; further set with 8<br />

pear-shaped sapphires totaling approximately 7 cts, 1.5'' H x 1'' W, est:$40,000/60,000<br />

Condition: Overall good condition.
