Family of Iran, particularly Shahs Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and Reza Shah the Great,<br />

en suite and graduated in size: 23, 29, 35, 50 mm, 4 pcs, 147 grams tw.,<br />

est:$3000/4000. Provenance: Property of a Private Collection, Glendale, CA<br />

Condition: Good, however each coin shows scuffs and other marks from handling.<br />

1159 A Persian .900 gold commemorative boxed set<br />

Pahlavian Dynasty boxed gold coin and stamp medallion set, with green leather<br />

presentation case with fitted satin and velvet interior, originally commissioned by Shah<br />

Reza Mohammad Pahlavi commemorating the 2500 Anniversary of the Persian<br />

Empire, October 12-16, 1971; comprising 9 stamps and 17 coin medallions, the largest<br />

rectangular: 65 x 50 mm, 26 pcs, 1122 grams tw., est:$25,000/30,000<br />

Condition: Largest circular: 60 mm; smallest rectangular: 40 x 30 mm; smallest<br />

circular: 36 mm. Green leather case has wear, scratches and scuffs. Gold coins and<br />

stamp medallions show wear due to handling over the years, including light scratches<br />

and abrasions.<br />

Condition: Good condition, however each coin shows scuffs and other marks from<br />

Arab bazaar, signed, inscribed and dated lower left: Robert Leinweber Munich 1889, oil<br />

on canvas laid to canvas, 72'' x 53'', est:$15,000/25,000. Provenance: Private<br />

Collection, Santa Barbara, CA<br />

Condition: Visual: Generally good condition with fine, stable craquelure throughout.<br />

Blacklight: Touch-up along approximately 2'' of the upper edge. Minor spots of touchup<br />

to address crack-fill and a 3'' vertical area of touch-up to possibly address a repaired<br />

tear in the left center quadrant, a few minor spots of touch-up on the figures and in the<br />

background.<br />

The Nile Jar, A pottery painter with a gentleman, signed center left: H. King 1870,<br />

titled verso, oil on panel, 19'' x 24'', est:$3000/5000. Provenance: Harbottle Collection,<br />

Santa Barbara, CA, obtained 1942<br />

Condition: Visual: Very minor frame abrasion and stable craquelure in the upper left<br />

quadrant. Blacklight: Spots of touch-up throughout both figures and in the upper right<br />

quadrant. Older varnish fluoresces under UV.
