1170 Louis XV style painted mirrored commode & mirror
First half 20th century, the mirror with a rectangular plate within a conforming crazepainted
mirrored surround, the commode with a serpentine top above a pair of short
frieze drawers over a pair of long drawers over a waved apron on cabriole legs, covered
with craze-painted mirror plates, 2 pcs, the commode, 35.5'' H x 44'' W x 19.5'' D,

Condition: The mirror: 55'' x 42.5''. Good condition overall. Structurally sound. General
marks, nicks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some typical rubbing to
painted decoration. Mirror plates in good condition with no major cracks. Commode
lacking one small beveled slip under right frieze drawer. Mounts slightly rubbed and
darkened.
1171 A Louis XVI style ormolu & marble clock garniture
Late 19th century, comprising a mantel clock and a pair of four-light candelabra, the
clock with a circular enamel dial with Roman chapters within a cylindrical case
surmounted by a birds nest next to a classical maiden, on an oval rockwork base over
an oval marble plinth adorned with floral garlands, on toupie feet above a serpentine
molded beaded giltwood platform, the candelabra modeled as classical maidens holding
aloft flowering candle branches over a circular spreading pedestal, on foliate cast feet, 3
pcs, the clock overall, 15'' H x 20.5'' W x 10'' D, est:$5000/7000
Condition: The giltwood base: 3'' x 21'' x 10''; the candelabra: 20'' x 12''. Good condition
overall. Regilt. Casting of some elements better than others. Figures decently cast.
General marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Clock apparently
unsigned. Dial in good condition. Movement appears intact and original. Working
condition unknown and not guaranteed. Some marks, scratches rubbing and minor
losses to carving of Giltwood base, some visible in catalogue photo. Underside of base
stenciled ''27''. Candelabra not electrified. With wax residue to candle nozzles. Some
greenish oxidation to candle nozzles.
