6. Make a note of the adapter’s Worldwide Port Name (WWPN), as shown in Figure 5-46.<br />

In the Zone Administration utility of your Switch, use the HBA port’s WWPN to Zone the HBA<br />

port to a host-port on Storage.<br />

Tip: If you have created hosts (see 5.4.6, “Creating Fiber Channel hosts using the GUI” on<br />

page 302), you can find the WWPN of the host-port on <strong>IBM</strong> Storwize v7000 as described in<br />

5.4.8, “Finding host port WWPNs on <strong>IBM</strong> Storwize V7000 nodes” on page 309.<br />

5.5.2 Configuring a QLogic adapter for <strong>SAN</strong> <strong>Boot</strong><br />

To configuring the QLogic adapter for <strong>SAN</strong> <strong>Boot</strong>, perform the following setup:<br />

1. Power up Server containing the HBA.<br />

2. Follow steps 1 through 4 given in 5.5.1, “Finding WWPNs of QLogic FC HBAs” on<br />

page 313.<br />

3. Select Scan Fibre Devices from the menu, as shown in Figure 5-44 on page 314.<br />

4. You can expect to see the <strong>IBM</strong> Storwize V7000 host-port’s WWPN, as shown in<br />

Figure 5-47.<br />
