WIth the increasing trend towards implementing <strong>SAN</strong> <strong>Boot</strong> solutions, various distributions of<br />

Linux are being installed on external storage for <strong>SAN</strong> <strong>Boot</strong> environments.<br />

In the following sections, we describe two of the most widely used distributions of Linux,<br />

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP 2 <strong>and</strong> Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 (RHEL).<br />
