• Optionally, you can edit the ubroker.properties file using a text editor such as Notepad.<br />

If you want to manually edit this file to create or modify a product configuration, begin by<br />

making a backup copy from the installed ubroker.properties file (and naming it <strong>for</strong><br />

example, test.properties). Once you edit the properties file, use the relevant validation<br />

utility such as MSSCONFIG to validate the changes and make sure there are no syntax<br />

errors or conflicts.<br />

MSSMAN utility<br />

Use the MSSMAN utility to control the operation of a configured <strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong> <strong>for</strong> MS <strong>SQL</strong><br />

<strong>Server</strong>. The utility allows you to start a broker, query its status, start and stop additional<br />

<strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong> servers, and shut down the broker.<br />

Specifies the name of a broker. This parameter is required.<br />

Stops and removes the <strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong> broker from memory, no matter what it is doing.<br />

Starts the <strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong> broker.<br />

Tells the <strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong> broker to stop itself.<br />

Queries the <strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong> brokers and servers <strong>for</strong> status.
