NSMAN utility<br />

Use the NSMAN utility to control the operation of a configured Name<strong>Server</strong>. The utility allows<br />

you to start a Name<strong>Server</strong>, query its status, and shut down a Name<strong>Server</strong>. Unlike the <strong>OpenEdge</strong><br />

Explorer and Progress Explorer, the NSMAN utility does not support a means to view log files<br />

or delete configured Name<strong>Server</strong> instances.<br />

Parameters -name name–server<br />

Specifies the name of the Name<strong>Server</strong>. This parameter is required.<br />

Stops and removes the Name<strong>Server</strong> from memory, no matter what it is doing.<br />

Starts the Name<strong>Server</strong>.<br />

Tells the Name<strong>Server</strong> to stop itself.<br />

Queries the Name<strong>Server</strong> <strong>for</strong> its status.<br />
