Men and women have clear preferences when play<strong>in</strong>g a team ball sport, which results<br />
<strong>in</strong> similar distributions <strong>of</strong> female and male <strong>in</strong>jury victims. In handball and volleyball<br />
more women get <strong>in</strong>jured, while <strong>in</strong> rugby (and American football), football<br />
and basketball <strong>the</strong> majority <strong>of</strong> patients are male. In Field-hockey <strong>the</strong> shares <strong>of</strong> men<br />
and women are balanced (table/figure 24).<br />
