6 Studio Designer 6.1 Creating and Editing 3D Guides 32 To create or move a 3D guide, use the 3D Guide tool (in the applications toolbar). Click and drag somewhere in the shape in the document to create or move a guide. By holding the option (alt) key, you can switch between vertical and horizontal guides. To delete a 3D guide, use the 3D guide tool and simply drag it outside the shape in the Illustrator document. To delete all 3D guides, you can delete the “3D Guides” layer that contains all 3D guides or use View > Guides > Clear Guides .
