A number indicating the quality of the reading.<br />

It is based on the noisiness of the individual periods of the<br />

precession signal. The smaller the value the better the quality of<br />

the reading.<br />

The magnetic gradient between the two sensors.<br />

Expressed in nT/m.<br />

The current time in hours: minutes:seconds.<br />

It is used to time stamp each reading.<br />

The line number on which this measurement took place.<br />

The display shown below is page two of the graphic data for the gradiometer. Page<br />

one appears identical, except that the word ‘GRADIENT” is changed to “TOTAL” and<br />

a plot of the total field is shown. This display is different depending on if the GPS is<br />

enabled or not.<br />
