Base Product Software<br />

New Features in V10.4.1<br />

• 1:1 Redundancy on the SDM-9620, including a new RTM that provides 16<br />

redundant E1/T1 ports<br />

• IPMC communication on the SDM-9600, including direct access to the IPMC<br />

console<br />

• Redundant MAC address and dual redundant IP addresses on Ethernet ports<br />

• PVCR Link Management for point-to-point applications, with end-to-end propagation<br />

of physical alarms and the possibility of viewing events (DLS command)<br />

and capturing Link Management traffic (SC command)<br />

• New loopback capabilities on E1/T1 interfaces for troubleshooting purposes<br />

• Improvements to the error log, including new configuration, filtering and capture<br />

processes<br />

• The ability to monitor cumulative performance statistics over a specific time<br />

period (DPP command)<br />

• Various improvements to the display, console and configuration commands on<br />

the base product command line interface.<br />

GSM A-bis/ter Support<br />

Support of GSM A and E is offered with the NetPerformer base product. Support of GSM<br />

A-bis and A-ter requires the GSM A-bis/ter licensed software option. You must install<br />

the same NetPerformer version and GSM A-bis/ter licensed software option on all<br />

participating units in the network.<br />

New Features in V10.4.1<br />

• Prioritization of SS7 signaling traffic in GSM applications<br />

• Support of 4 ATM ports on the SDM-9620, with the ability to configure the same<br />

VPI/VCI on more than one port<br />

• Capture of GSM trace information from the capture buffer for troubleshooting<br />

purposes.<br />
