Example:
Main Application
- The DLS command displays STATE: LOOP for the local interface of the
span:
--[ LOCAL INTERFACE ]--------------------------------------------
LINK# 0300 STATE: LOOP
The Loopback condition discussed here has nothing to do with the Loopback
Test (LT) command; rather, the Loopback parameter configured on a span.
• Modified: On the SDM-9606 and SDM-9620 blades, the LED status of E1/T1
ports is now updated every 10 seconds, rather than on a change of status only. For
a 1:1 Redundancy application on the SDM-9620, LEDs on the redundant RTM
are updated only when the unit state of the corresponding SDM-9620 blade is IN
USE or DEACTIVATION IN PROGRESS, since in all other cases the redundant
RTM is being used by the other SDM-9620 blade.
• Resolved: The SDM-9620 no longer reboots in a loop after enabling the Log
extended DSP errors/events parameter in the ELOG submenu of the Setup (SE)
command.
Legacy Protocols
• Added: Two new extended port parameters can be used on the SDM-8400 to permit
the transmission of DLE packets on ports configured with the COP protocol
where the extended port parameter COPSPOOF must be set to NO, and DLE
SYN ENABLE must be set to YES.
This application requires the configuration of the DLE ETX and DLE ETB characters,
which are sent without change over the port:
• To set the DLE ETX character, enter the following at the console command
prompt:
EP PORT n ETXCAR XX
where: XX is a hexadecimal value
• To set the DLE ETB character, enter the following:
EP PORT n ETBCAR XX
where: XX is a hexadecimal value
UNIT>EP PORT 3 ETBCAR 83
EXTENDED PARAMETERS
PORT 3> (ETBCAR) ETB character (hex).............83
REMARK: To make this parameter effective, you have to turn off the
port
UNIT>EP PORT 3 ETXCAR 26
EXTENDED PARAMETERS
PORT 3> (ETXCAR) ETX character (hex).............26
REMARK: To make this parameter effective, you have to turn off the
port
