birth <strong>of</strong> their second child, Aiden, born<br />

in December 2006. Lee also graduated<br />

from George Mason University <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Law in May <strong>2007</strong>. he currently works as a<br />

S<strong>of</strong>tware engineer for the Department <strong>of</strong><br />

homeland Security Customs and Border<br />

Protection.<br />

Donny Wyatt ’99 (M.S. in MIT ’04) recently<br />

had a column published in Builder/<br />

Architect magazine detailing a simple<br />

requirements, evaluation, and implementation<br />

process that residential homebuilders<br />

can use in selecting technology for client<br />

communication. Donny’s involvement<br />

with homebuilders started in 2005, when<br />

he founded Co-construct.com, an online<br />

portal used by custom builders to reduce<br />

miscommunication with clients on mid- to<br />

high-end homes.<br />

2002<br />

Jim Bayer (M.S. in MIT ’02) and his family<br />

headed to Belgrade, Serbia, in September<br />

<strong>2007</strong>, where Bayer is the Information<br />

Programs Officer at the U.S. embassy. The<br />

Bayers recently left their previous post<br />

in Riga, Latvia, and enjoyed some time<br />

traveling in the United States before going<br />

back overseas.<br />

Mike Bucci (Darden ’96, M.S. in MIT ’02)<br />

recently left Capital One Financial after<br />

nine years to start his own business that<br />

has launched a new product in the home<br />

improvement market. The product, the<br />

Painters Pyramid (http://www.painters<br />

pyramid.com), is a durable, versatile tool<br />

that allows users to save time and effort by<br />

painting an entire object (top, bottom, and<br />

sides) without waiting for the paint to dry<br />

and without sacrificing quality. Says Bucci,<br />

“Getting this business going required<br />

establishing a corporation, filing for appropriate<br />

patent and trademark protection,<br />

as well as product development, <strong>of</strong>fshore<br />

sourcing, and extensive marketing efforts.”<br />

Heather Mills ’02 and co-workers left<br />

the University <strong>of</strong> Connecticut to found<br />

Pulsar Research & Consulting LLC, a<br />

full-service custom survey research and<br />

consulting firm based in Vernon, Conn. As<br />

Pulsar’s Research Director, heather has<br />

conducted research that has appeared on<br />

the cover <strong>of</strong> TIME magazine. her clients<br />

range from one <strong>of</strong> the world’s largest<br />

banks to small not-for-pr<strong>of</strong>it foundations.<br />

heather and Scott Mitchell celebrated<br />

their one-year wedding anniversary in<br />

September <strong>2007</strong>. The couple resides in<br />

enfield, Conn.<br />

Managing Director at CapTech Ventures.<br />

Chris Paulk ’03 and Bryanna Biery<br />

(A&S ’03) were married Oct. 21, 2006.<br />

After completing her Teach for America<br />

commitment, Bryee stayed on as a Literacy<br />

Coach in Washington heights, New York<br />

City. Chris is a Merchant with Tommy<br />

hilfiger. The couple resides in New York<br />

City.<br />
