SUMARIO
Cierto número de capas de edad Paleozoico
superior, con fusulfnidos y otros fósiles, se han
encontrado en México. Desde Sonora a Chiapas,
capas del Pérmico y Pennsilvánico se extienden a
lo largo de un eje con dirección NW-SE. A pesar
del excelente trabajo de campo y laboratorio apenas
se han definido algunas formaciones y se
han descrito unas tres docenas de fusuI(nido3. Se
necesitan más estudios en la parte norte del país,

A number of deposits of upper Paleozoic age,
with fusulinids and other fossils, have been found
in Mexico. From Sonora to Chiapas, Permian and
Pcnnsylvanian beds stretch along an axis in a
NW-SE direction. In spite of excellent field and
laboratory work, only a few formations have been
defined, and some three dozen forms of fusulinids
described. There is need of more study in the
northern part of the country, where correlations
can more easily be establisehd with type section
of Texas.
