The Struggle
La lucha
So where did this struggle and search begin? We need to investigate this thoroughly. It is pointless
spinning off into explanations that are just part and parcel of the belief system. Stories about me are boring
and never true.
We must trace it all back to the roots.
All manner of ‘things’ appear to have a beginning and an end. They all appear in open space. Your body
appears in space.
This space permeates your every cell.
At a microscopic level the smallest movements of energy are appearing in empty space.
The search appears in the mind (space), due to a sense of separateness that has
appeared to come about. This is so, because of certain concepts that have been served to you. These
concepts are handed down one to another.
These ideas that appear in us are forming our psychological stance, our attitude etc. Many pride themselves
on being open minded and yet this open Minded-ness is full to the brim with strong and apparently
stubborn opinions.
All our conditioning re-appears continually – it repeats itself, simply because it has never been questioned
or looked at closely with an unbiased attention. An unbiased attention is the open view from pure
awareness.
conciencia.
All manner of things appear and disappear in empty space.
The one constant – the essence of what we are, which is also the fact that we are, never leaves this open
boundless space. (Just like the sun never leaves the open space.) In fact, this essence that we are, inevitably
reveals itself to be just like space, in which all manner of things appear and disappear. It is also clearly
obvious, within open awareness, that all comings and goings leave no trace in this open space. One can
deduce from this fact, once it opens up, that ‘the one that searches’ is nothing but an appearance and so in
recognizing that, it is clear that ‘I am the seeing’ of all of these comings and goings. Closer examination,
‘looking from’ direct cognition, reveals that I
have never moved away from this constant, yet ephemeral open space.
Further more, in seeing past the limitations of being ‘in’ a body, then I find that I cannot place myself in
any fixed boundaries whatsoever. All such boundaries are in the mind.
