ABSTRACT
The present work had like objective to realise an analysis of the smile and to
determine its relation with the face proportions in young patients of 17 to 20
years; it is a study of prospective, cross-sectional and observacional type;
with a sample of 124 patients between 17 and 20 years of age of both sexes
to evaluate; the type of face, profile of the smile; the relation between both,
incisal exhibition in rest and the smile, and the form of the central incisor. Our
results demonstrated that: the greater amount of patients is leptoprosopicos
and a low percentage is euriprosopicos. ; the greater amount of patients has
a line of the high smile and less amount has a low smile, the greater amount
of patients is leptoprosopicos and they have as well has a line of the average
smile; the form of the incisor that predominates is of oval form In addition that
