DAB tuner<br />

Listening to the DAB<br />

You can use this unit to control a DAB tuner<br />

(GEX-P700DAB), which is sold separately.<br />

For details concerning operation, refer to the<br />

DAB tuners operation manual. This section<br />

provides information on DAB operations with<br />

this unit which differs from that described in<br />

the DAB tuners operation manual.<br />

! This unit does not have the following two<br />

functions. (Reference pages are in the<br />

hide-away DAB tuners operation manual.)<br />

Using the PGM button (Refer to page<br />

! With this unit, you can operate two additional<br />

functions: available PTY search, storing<br />

and recalling dynamic label.<br />

1 Band indicator<br />

Shows which band the DAB tuner is tuned<br />

to.<br />

2 Preset number indicator<br />

Shows which preset has been selected.<br />

3 TEXT indicator<br />

Shows that the currently received service<br />

has a dynamic label.<br />

5 Announcement (A) indicator<br />

Shows when announcement is received.<br />

6 Weather (W) indicator<br />

Shows when area weather flash is received.<br />

7 News (N) indicator<br />

Shows when news announcement is received.<br />

8 Traffic (T) indicator<br />

Shows when traffic announcement is received.<br />

9 <strong>Service</strong> label indicator<br />

Shows to which service the DAB tuner is<br />

tuned.<br />

a PTY label indicator<br />

Shows the PTY label currently received.<br />

! If the signal is too weak for this unit to<br />

pick up the PTY code, No PTY is displayed.<br />

1 Press SOURCE to select the DAB.<br />

Press SOURCE until you see DAB displayed.<br />

2 Press BAND to select a band.<br />

Press BAND until the desired band is displayed,<br />

DAB1, DAB2 or DAB3.<br />

3 To select a service, push Multi-Control<br />

left or right.<br />

4 To select an ensemble, push and hold<br />

Multi-Control left or right for about one<br />

second and release.<br />

# You can cancel ensemble search by pushing<br />

Multi-Control left or right.<br />

4 EXTRA (XTR) indicator<br />

Shows that the currently received service<br />

has a secondary service <strong>com</strong>ponent.<br />
