La gastronomía cordobesa Gastronomy of Cordoba Neorrestauración y cocina moderna Neo-Gastronomy and Modern Cuisine No podemos hablar de la Gastronomía Cordobesa sin hacer mención al buen momento que se está viviendo en nuestra ciudad en lo que a neorrestauración respecta. En los últimos meses estamos asistiendo al reconocimiento de la labor de cocineros cordobeses, como es el caso del recién galardonado Kisko García, que acaba de recibir una estrella Michelín. En los últimos años se ha instaurado un entramado de restaurantes y gastrotabernas que constituyen una opción diferente y una puerta abierta a la cocina moderna y de autor. Además de El Choco de Kisko García, destacan el Bistronomic Garum 2.1 de la calle San Fernando; en plena plaza de San Miguel encontramos el Restaurante el Aguacero. La Cuchara de San Lorenzo basa su cocina moderna en los platos cordobeses de siempre. La Taberna Ziryab ofrece desde su local en la calle San Felipe un espacio moderno y acogedor, redefiniendo el concepto de taberna. También en pleno centro urbano encontramos en esta línea el Restaurante El Astronauta, y ocupando parte de la antigua estación de ferrocarril de Córdoba, el Restaurante La Estación. Bodegas Campos acaba de abrir en colaboración con Covap su Pick&Stay, un concepto moderno de establecimiento en el cual comida puede ir acompañada de una tranquila sobremesa tomando una copa, a la vez que la música ameniza el ambiente. Cordoba’s gastronomy cannot be mentioned without referring to the excellent period our city is experiencing as far as neo gastronomy. In recent months we have witnessed recognition for the work of Cordovan chefs like the recent award-winning Kisko Garcia who just received a Michelin star. In the last few years a network of restaurants and gastro-taverns has been established offering a different option and an open door to modern and signature cuisine. Besides Kisko Garcia´s El Choco, the Bistronomic Garum 2.1 on San Fernando street and Restaurante el Aguacero, right in the middle of San Miguel square, stand out. La Cuchara de San Lorenzo bases its modern cuisine on the usual Cordovan dishes. Taberna Ziryab offers at its San Felipe street location a modern, cosy space in an effort to reinvent the tavern concept. Also right in the city centre you can find Restaurante El Astronauta, and then there’s Restaurante La Estación which occupies part of the old Cordoba train station. In collaboration with Covap Bodegas Campos has just opened Pick&Stay, a modern establishment where meals can be accompanied by a relaxing after-dinner chat over drinks with music in the background.
