MIRAMAR PALACE
English-style palace on the Bay of La
Concha that boasts one of the most
spectacular views of the city. Built in
1893 by commission of the Spanish
royal family, based on an 1889
project by English architect Selden
Wornum, it was a summer residence
for Queen Maria Cristina until 1929.

mundo de la moda en general. Su colección
de más de 2.000 obras es una de las más

Located in the lovely fishing village of
Getaria, the birthplace of the great couturier,
29 km from San Sebastián. The historic
Aldamar, former residence of the Marquis
of Casa Torre, mentors to Balenciaga
early in his career, combines tradition and
modernity with its extension, a large glass
building overlooking the coast. The museum
showcases Cristóbal Balenciaga’s creations
and the world of fashion in general. The
collection of over 2,000 pieces is one of the
most important worldwide.
