ARCANOS MAYORESEl Emperador se ocupa de que el entusiasmo de La Emperatriz llegue a realizarse. Leimportan los logros y lucha por llevarlos a término. Acude presto al jardín deLa Emperatriz y, como un paciente agricultor, estudia las condiciones ideales para quecada planta crezca fuerte y sana. Con su esfuerzo y sabiduría consigue que crezcan árbolesallí donde resultaba imposible hacerlo. El espíritu de este Arcano consigue que en zonas áridashaya vida, eso sí, gracias al estudio y la perseverancia.El Emperador nos ayuda a analizar los objetivos y a luchar por ellos. No nos garantizaque las cosas vayan a ser fáciles, queda un duro trabajo por delante si queremos alcanzar todaslas metas. Este Arcano nos empuja a aprender de la experiencia para extraer de ella todo supoder. Es la carta que enseña a aprender a base de los errores. En efecto, El Emperador nose retira cuando se equivoca ni se culpa, simplemente asume su parte de responsabilidad, sepregunta en qué medida podía haber hecho mejor las cosas. Acepta con humildad, pero yano como La Papisa para guardar todo eso en su interior, sino aprendiendo la lección parahacerlo mejor la próxima vez.El Emperador es realista, tiene los pies en la tierra, no lucha contra utopías sino que lohace consigo mismo, codo con codo. Sabe que es su mejor compañero para la batalla y se perfeccionapara hacerlo cada vez mejor. Está seguro de que cuanto más rica y diversa sea laexperiencia, más le aportará. Así obtendrá un saber pragmático casi irrefutable. También sabeque no todo depende de uno mismo, sino también de la fe que se ponga en cada uno de losactos y sabe dar las gracias a Dios, al Universo o a la vida por las oportunidades que tiene. Espor todo lo anterior que necesita valorar las situaciones antes de actuar.No le detienen los obstáculos, es un gran observador y sabe valorar cuándo ha llegado elmomento de actuar y, lo más importante, ¡sin desanimarse! El Emperador se levanta tras cadacaída y sigue adelante con voluntad y firmeza. Su tarea tiene un nombre: responsabilidad.Al mundo de la experiencia directa y natural de La Emperatriz le sucede la abstracciónde la civilización de El Emperador. En el Tarot, estos mundos colaboran y trabajan juntos, LaEmperatriz tiene ideas geniales y El Emperador conoce la manera de materializarlas. Puedeque a veces discutan, pues no todas las ideas pueden llegar a materializarse. Ése es el diálogoque se establece entre los arcanos III y IV. Siempre es mejor que primero actúe uno y luegoel otro, nunca simultáneamente puesto que ambos deben ocupar su propio espacio y tiempo.Con El Emperador llega entonces todo lo racional, lo analizable. Es un guía que nosenseña a ser prácticos, pero no a cualquier precio. Está bien conectado con lo humano y lofrágil (está mirando a los ojos de La Emperatriz). Es un hombre que apuesta por la concienciay la cultura. Con él ha llegado la palabra, con la que los humanos podemos abstraer ytomar conciencia de nuestra experiencia y de nosotros mismos.
