Install Your <strong>Flat</strong> <strong>Panel</strong> TV<br />

2.1.1 Check <strong>the</strong> Location for Suitability<br />

When choosing <strong>the</strong> location for your panel, <strong>the</strong>re are several fac<strong>to</strong>rs you need <strong>to</strong> keep in mind. The installation<br />

site should be out of direct sunlight and have sufficient ventilation around <strong>the</strong> flat panel TV <strong>to</strong> allow cooling. The<br />

diagram below is an example of a stand-mounted panel with proper ventilation.<br />

Route cords and cables safely Away from strong lighting sources<br />

“7.7 Safety Precautions.”<br />

2.1.2 Lift and/or Move Your <strong>Panel</strong> (<strong>the</strong> How To’s)<br />

This flat panel TV is built for endurance but because of <strong>the</strong> technology, <strong>the</strong> panel must be handled with care. Use<br />

<strong>the</strong> handles attached <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> rear of <strong>the</strong> flat panel TV <strong>to</strong> lift <strong>the</strong> unit. To avoid flexing or twisting <strong>the</strong> unit, you need<br />

at least two people <strong>to</strong> lift and move <strong>the</strong> panel. Do not move <strong>the</strong> flat panel TV by holding only a single handle or by<br />

dragging <strong>the</strong> panel by its handles.<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> handles <strong>to</strong> move <strong>the</strong> panel.<br />

Do not move <strong>the</strong> panel by holding <strong>the</strong><br />

speaker or speaker brackets.<br />

Note: Do not use <strong>the</strong> handles <strong>to</strong> hang <strong>the</strong> flat panel TV or as anchors <strong>to</strong> prevent <strong>the</strong> panel from slipping or tipping<br />

after it is mounted.<br />
