Montreal & Southern Counties suburban electric car 103 waits for<br />

passengers prior to departing it’s McGill Street Terminal for points<br />

south on August 20, 1948. Its route will take it through ‘Goose<br />

Village’, over the Victoria Bridge, through St. Lambert to points<br />

beyond. Although built by Ottawa Car in 1913, old 103 was still<br />

providing fast, efficient commuter service to the South Shore from<br />

downtown Montreal until 1955. Peter Murphy Collection.<br />

20 août 1948 : le tramway de banlieue no 103 de la Montreal &<br />

Southern Counties attend les passagers au terminus de la rue<br />

McGill pour repartir vers le sud. Il traversera le « Goose Village », le<br />

pont Victoria, Saint-Lambert, pour ensuite se diriger vers Longueuil<br />

et Greenfield Park. Construit en 1913 par la Ottawa Car, le vieux<br />

tram 103 assurera un service rapide et efficace entre le centre-ville<br />

Gare de Montréal-Ouest le 17 avril 1951 à 13 h 27.<br />

<strong>Le</strong> train no 26 de la New York Central (qui ne<br />

circule que le samedi), conduit par la locomotive<br />

4577, fait sa jonction avant d’emprunter la voie<br />

ferrée du CPR qui traverse le Saint-Laurent. Il<br />

poursuit sa route jusqu’à Adirondack Jonction,<br />

où Il rejoint son propre réseau jusqu’à Valleyfield,<br />

Saturday only, New York Central train # 26, headed up by<br />

engine 4577 clatters through the crossover at Montreal<br />

West, Quebec at 1:27 PM on April 17, 1951. The train will<br />

follow CPR steel over the St. Lawrence River Bridge to<br />

Adirondack Junction, then on to its own company’s<br />
